Macron wants to avoid humiliation of Putin?!

It continues to astonish, how some western leaders (Emanuel Macron) still believe that a negotiated settlement is possible in the War. (There is no need to even preface the War as Ukraine vs Russia anymore. It is the only War that matters, no disrespect to other regional conflicts in the world.) But for Macron to announce that a “humiliation” of Putin must be avoided in order to keep open the possibility of negotiations for peace, demonstrates a frightening ignorance of Vladimir Putin’s intentions and modus operandi. Macron does not get it! And he, President of a freely elected and democratic nation. Mind- boggling. Putin is a so-called leader who thinks he can set the rules of engagement in this War. He announces that more cruise missile strikes will be launched if the western alliance sends HIMARS and other long range missile systems to Ukraine. So, on the one hand, it is OK for Russia to launch cruise missiles from jets flying over the Crimean sea, and ships far out in the Black sea, but not OK for Ukraine to use long range artillery to strike at Russian supply lines inside Ukraine. Ukraine is fighting in accordance with rules of engagement that recognize civilians and civilian infrastructure is off-limits in a War. You don’t kill civilians. On the other hand, Putin’s orcs kill anything in their sights, and brutalize and rape children. And Macron wants to keep talking to this butcher? Perhaps he does not believe all the BBC dispatches and other video streaming out of Ukraine. Perhaps his office TV is tuned to TASS and RT. Get your head out of your ass Macron! This is War. There will be a victor and a vanquished. How about all civilized nations, including yours, get on the side of victory for Ukraine! Slava Ukraini!

Macron thinks he can negotiate with the Butcher of Moscow!

In a speech in Warsaw, Poland, last night, Joe Biden said Putin is a “butcher” and said “this man cannot remain in power”. However, the White House later clarified that the US was not calling for regime change. Emmanuel Macron told broadcaster France 3: “I would not use those words.” He added that “everything must be done to stop the situation from escalating” if there is to be any hope of stopping Russia’s war in Ukraine. Macron also told France 3 he saw his task as “achieving first a ceasefire and then the total withdrawal of [Russian] troops by diplomatic means. If we want to do that, we can’t escalate either in words or actions.” Macron is a moron! Joe Biden called it exactly how it should be called. If Macron would leave his delusional world of niceties and diplomacy he might learn that Vladimir Putin only understands and respects power. All of Macron’s trips to Russia and his ‘nice’ conversations with Putin have served only to embolden Putin and convince the Butcher of Moscow of the west’s weakness and failure to protect smaller states. Now is not the time for the EU to show any weakness nor division. So hey Emmanuel, shut the f.. up and let more experienced leaders lead! Now is the time to escalate.

France bans cucumber condoms!

A law banning plastic packaging for large numbers of fruits and vegetables comes into force in France on New Year’s Day, to end what the government has called the “aberration” of overwrapped carrots, apples and bananas, as environmental campaigners and exasperated shoppers urge other countries to do the same. From New Year’s Day, France will ban supermarkets and other shops from selling cucumbers wrapped in plastic, and peppers, courgettes, aubergines and leeks in plastic packaging. A total of 30 types of fruit and vegetables will be banned from having any plastic wrapping, including bananas, pears, lemons, oranges and kiwis. That is a law I would welcome in North America. The plastic wrap around cucumbers is maddening! I’m sure I’m not the only one who has cut themselves with a knife while trying to remove this cucumber condom! Hooray for France.
